You’ll quickly find it’s rare for Cruz Contreras to be presented with an instrument he doesn’t play. Contreras spent years performing as the “CC” in Robinella and the CCstringband. After the band ended, he took a couple of years off from music before emerging as vocalist and lead songwriter of the The Black Lillies, a group that has come to the forefront of the East Tennessee Americana scene.
